The Ingleside district affords its dwellers convenient commuting services. It is close to Interstate 280, the Balboa Park Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) station and has plenty of bus lines which makes it easy to get to almost anywhere in the Bay Area.

Ocean Avenue is the commercial center of Ingleside district. There are a number of shopping and dining options available there. There is also the Stonestown Galleria Mall which is close-by and has dozens of departmental stores including the Apple store, Macy’s and Nordstrom. The district is also in close proximity to both the City College of San Francisco Ocean Campus and San Francisco State University as both colleges are within walking distance. The Ingleside Branch Library also offers routine classes to kids and teens.

The locals usually go to Lake Merced Park for recreation and relaxation purposes. They can fish, rent a small boat or set up a grill at any of the many picnic tables in the park. There is a swimming pool, a children’s playground, a stadium, baseball diamonds and tennis courts at Balboa Park.
