Inner Mission district is one of the most dynamic districts in all of San Francisco. The district’s homes are available in contrasting architectural styles ranging from grand, century-old houses, to smaller Victorian era cottages and new condo developments that kicked off during the past couple of years.
In the evenings, if you walk by any Valencia Street, you will witness a city planner’s dream: you’ll catch thousands of young locals going out to grab something to eat; a standing-room only crowd at the Make out room; tuning up their bike at the Freewheel Bike Shop; or catching the latest avant-garde performance at Dance Mission Theater.
Inner Mission district is home to scores of restaurants serving contrasting styles of cuisine, including the district’s famous taquerias. There is a foundation for kids next to Paxton Gate and it is called Dave Eggers 826 Valencia foundation. They offer writing workshops. The store is designed to spark anyone’s imagination as it is full of curiosities.
The locals also have easy access to public transportation. There are multiple Muni bus lines and two BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) stations available at 16th Street and Mission Street and 24th Street and Mission Street.
