Lower Pacific Heights is the district in between California Street and Geary Boulevard, and Presidio Avenue and Gough Street. It is a new name for an old district. It is situated centrally, giving the locals easy access to several Muni bus lines (the 1 California, the 3 Clement, the 3 Jackson, the 33 Fillmore and the 38 Geary), and sophisticated shopping on Fillmore Street.

Lower Pacific Heights is culturally and economically distinct and offers the locals a buffet of urban lifestyle. Residents can select from the nightlife on Fillmore Street, including the popular blues venue Boom Boom Room; Japantown and its magnificent cosmopolitan malls offering restaurants and specialty stores; the recently remodeled Lafayette Park; and the sunny, expansive and welcoming Yoga Works on Divisadero Street, which is home to another business district offering a variety of restaurants and bars.
